His Holiness Shri Marishantaveera Mahaswamiji, the 16th Peethadhipati of Samsthana Shri Gavimath, Koppal, a great scholar with profound knowledge of Sanskrit, Philosophy, Logic & Ayurveda. He was an educationist and a social reformer. He started free boarding and hostel for the poor students with secular identities. He established Shri Gavisiddheshwar High School in 1951. He later started Shri Gavisiddheshwar Arts, Science and Commerce College under Shri Gavisiddheshwar Vidya Vardhaka Trust in 1963. To cater to varied educational needs of the area and donated all the landed property to it for sustenance and growth.
Today, it has been running number of educational institutions ranging from LKG to PG, including Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital. ೧೯೫೧ರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವೇ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಂದ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಗೊAಡ ಉಚಿತ ವಸತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರಸಾದ ನಿಲಯ ಇಂದು ೫೦೦೦ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶ ಪಡೆಯಲು ಅನುಕೂಲಕರವಾದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಕೊಠಡಿಗಳು, ಅಡುಗೆಮನೆ, ದಾಸೋಹ ಭವನ, ಗ್ರಂಥಾಲಯ, ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯನ್ನೊಳಗೊಂಡ ಬೃಹತ್ ಕಟ್ಟಡವು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣಗೊಂಡಿದೆ.
ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ೧೨೦೦ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರಿಗಾಗಿ ಕೋಳೂರು-ಕಾಟ್ರಳ್ಳಿ ಸಮೀಪದಲ್ಲಿ ೪೫ ಎಕರೆ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ `೫೦ ಕೋಟಿ ರೂಪಾಯಿ ಯೋಜನೆಯ ವೆಚ್ಚದಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಗವಿಸಿದ್ಧೇಶ್ವರ ಗುರುಕುಲವನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ವಸತಿ ಸಹಿತ ಕಲಾ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಹಾಗೂ ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ಪದವಿ ಪೂರ್ವ ಮಹಾವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಸುಂದರ ಕಟ್ಟಡವು ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಂಡಿದೆ, ಸದ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಇದನ್ನು ಮುಂಬರುವ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ವರ್ಷದಿಂದ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು.
ಈ ಮಹಾನ್ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸೇವಾಕಾರ್ಯ ಮುಂದುವರೆಯಲು ಸಾವಿರಾರು ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಬದುಕಿಗೆ ಆಸರೆಯಾಗುವ ಅನ್ನ-ಅಕ್ಷರ-ನೀಡುವ ಈ ಅಕ್ಷರ ಜೋಳಿಗೆಯ ಸತ್ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ದೇಣಿಗೆ ರೂಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲು ಇಚ್ಚಿಸುವವರು ಪ್ರತಿ ತಿಂಗಳಿಗೆ ನೂರು ರೂಪಾಯಿಗಳನ್ನು ಅಥವಾ ತಮ್ಮ ಇಚ್ಚಾನುಸಾರ ದೇಣಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ ಖಾತೆಯಿಂದ “ಶ್ರೀ ಗವಿಸಿದ್ಧೇಶ್ವರ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಉಚಿತ ವಸತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರಸಾದ ನಿಲಯ”ದ ಖಾತೆಗೆ ಸ್ವಯಂ ಡೆಬಿಟ್ (Auto Debit) ಮಾಡುವುದರ ಮೂಲಕ ವರ್ಗಾಯಿಸಲು “ಕ್ಯುಆರ್ಕೋಡ್” ಬಳಸಿ ಸ್ವಇಚ್ಚೆಯಿಂದ ದೇಣಿಗೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಬಹುದು.

Sri Gavisiddeshwar Free Hostel for Boys
- Shree Gavisiddeshwar Free Hostel for Boys is established in the year 1951.
- The SGVVT provides hostel accommodation to students within the institute premises.
- The Hostel can accommodates more than 4500 students in 138 well spacious and ventilated rooms, 2 large halls, 6 Warden rooms, 1 Hospital,
1 Library and 1 sports room ranging from class 5th to UG and PG. - There are around 55 employees who supports the hostel maintenance.
The ongoing Free Residential PU College for Girls
- Our current Peethadhipati after miserable condition of girls of the weaker sections as far as education is concerned has finalized the given campus of residential PU College for Girls at Kolur-Katralli near Koppal.
- This beautiful campus is scheduled to be open for the girls students from the academic year from 2026-27.
The campus will have the following components:
- Administrative Block, Academic Block, Hostel, Playground, Dining Hall, Library, Polyclinic, Staff Quarters, Yoga and Meditation Centre, an Auditorium, an Open Air Theatre.
- Condition of girls from weaker sections in the region continues to be miserable as far as education is concerned.
We run regular dasoha 24/7.
- There are around 35 employees work in shifts.
- Apart these employees, devotees who visit Math will also do serve for the Math.
- On every Full Moon day, the devotes number will spike nearly to 30 thousand.
Covid-19 hospital at Samsthana Shri Gavimath Koppal
- Gavi Math started free 100 bedded Covid hospital in Koppal that was the 1st Hospital started by Math in Karnataka and even in India from May 11.
- Responding to the bed problem caused by the Covid crisis, Sri Gavisiddheshwara Swamiji has started the Covid hospital in just a week.
- The old age home in the premises of the monastery has been converted into a complete hospital and oxygen pipes have been brought from Coimbatore and connected.
- This hospital, which is in collaboration with the district administration, has been prepared and led by Swamiji.
- During pandemic there were many doctors along with 40 staff worked around the clock to serve the humanity.
- It had the record of highest recovery rate.

- The Trust roped in various stakeholders and adopted Adavihalli, a village in Yalaburga taluk and executed project to offers basic amenities and required facilities.
- The villages did not have roads. Toilets and roads were constructed.
- Pure drinking water facility was provided.
- We have distrusted LPG cylinders.
- We offered cows to each family to support their livelihood.
- Building and compound were constructed for school and an Angnawadi centre.
- Support was given for youths for self-employment.

The S. S. M. C. Trust has executed various community and environmental welfare projects so far. Some of them are as follows:
Revival of water bodies:
Hirehalla ‘s new lease of life
- The Trust, led by Gavisiddeshwara Swamiji, involved local communities and revived a 24-km stretch of Hirehalla, a tributary of Tungabhadra River.
- The 24-km stretch river bed was used as a dumping yard and it had all effluents.
- Voluntary participation of local communities and the use of 70 large machines helped complete the drive in less than 100 days.
- The drive caught the attention of the government which subsequently constructed 10 bridge-cum-barrages to store water.
- This has recharged all water bodies in the region, helped farming activities and supply regular drinking water in
24 villages.
